Guests that love to taste test the entire menu will be in heaven when they hear about this Asian fusion restaurant. As far as entertainment goes, this month marks the kickoff of one of Philadelphia's most beautiful live shows. Enjoy the sights and scenery in this wonderful garden, every night this month. We here at UrHiP aim to make Philly your “home away from home”. These are our suggestions for escaping the end of summer blues, here in Philadelphia.

Good Food – Sampan

Sampan is an oasis of contemporary Asian small plates located in the heart of Center City, Philadelphia's hot Midtown Village neighborhood on 13th St.

As an Asian fusion restaurant it specializes in small dishes, but don't be confused by the wording. It can make for a hearty meal if done correctly.

Since the dishes are small, Sampan works best when guests order multiple dishes to share with friends and family. So bring a group, pick out few things you like to start, and go from there. Sharing is key and don't be afraid to try new things!

The appetizer like portions are a blessing in disguise because you'll want to try everything. There are so many delicious options, you won't want to fill up on just one!The waiters are in constant motion to ensure that when you're ready for your next dish, they're right there to get it. So while you chow down on their delicious Pork Bao Buns, they'll be there to grab your next order. Our personal favorite is the General Tso's Soup Dumplings. As the title suggests, they are filled with a delicious broth, along with chicken. These dumplings may be a little tricky to eat at first, but you'll be a pro by your third order (We know you're going to want more than one order). As for atmosphere, Sampan delivers too. A dramatic back-lit wall mural sets the scene for artful food, emerging from the restaurant's centrally located open kitchen.A carefully curated selection of wine, beer, sake, and cocktails complement the meal and guest experience. There is no substitute for Sampan here in Philly and September is a great time to try it!For more information and their full menu, visit their website
